| Sreesanth: "God's been kind. I have lots of people to thank. Yet to read all those messages. I'm working on my pace, am trying to get it to the 145 kmph mark, I'm feeling good. I want to thank Warwickshire and the Indian board for letting me play there, I played quite a bit of domestic cricket too and learnt a lot. There is room for improvement and I want to keep on learning. " |

| Dhoni: "The wicket was quite good. Nothing even close to what he played on in Ahmedabad. The grass was kept on the track throughout. It started to turn a bit on the first day and kept a little low. It was important that we got that many runs on the first day. The changes in side brought in some fresh legs, Sreesanth is one of the best reverse swing bowlers in India. Ojha had a very good debut. It was important to win this big and gain the momentum; there will be something for the fast bowlers as well as spinners in Mumbai. It's a moment of pride for me, this 100th win, and I am honoured to be part of this side." |

| Sangakkara: "It was a very good wicket. A bit in it for a few overs. It got slower and slower and made it a bit difficult to bat on. Exceptional performance by Sreesanth, great first innings by India and a poor one from us. that decided the match. We needed good partnerships; lose shots here and there, and that cost us. If the batsmen apply themselves and and occupy the crease, the the pitch is a good one to bat on. We have to be mentally strong to come back in Mumbai. We need to create chances early and take them." |

| The pair of Mendis and Samaraweera kept India frustrated for well over an hour but the introduction of Yuvraj Singh into the attack knocked off the two remaining wickets. It's also their third-biggest victory (in terms of runs) in Tests. |

| Following-on, SL started terribly losing their first four batsman in one session. Samaraweera and Mendis delayed the inevitable with a 73-run dogged stand for the 9th wicket. As far as Sri Lanka are concerned, their first win on Indian soil still remains elusive and they need to pull up their socks before the final test. |

| Well, India pretty much dominated throughout the test. Batting first, India's top three scored big hundreds as India posted a massive 642. Sreesanth was the wrecker-in-chief yesterday, picking up 5 wickets to give India a mammoth lead. |
